Many celebrities can be seen sporting the Adidas brand. I have been wearing Adidas since the eighties and I must say that the brand looks as good today as it did over twenty years ago. My first piece was a jogging suit. Adidas has become an essential part of the everyday casual wardrobe, because they hold up well over time. “How do you know?” you say. Well I kept my old Adidas work out pants and jacket and have been asked on more than one occasion where did I find them. How about that for cost per wear.
Adidas looks chic whether you’re working out or meeting up with friends headed to your favorite coffee shop. I’ve seen quite a few celebrities wearing Adidas ensembles with high heels looking very stylish. The image up above is the Adidas Originals Superstar sneakers. They are extremely comfortable and chic. Feeling good is looking good, and a great outfit makes me feel like I treated myself without over indulging in something like food.
Do you know how the name Adidas came about? I’m sure most of you already know but it’s new to me and for anyone else that was left behind I thought I’d give a little history. Adidas was founded by Adolf Dassler who started making sports shoes in his mothers laundry room in Germany after he returned from World War I. Adolf came up with the name Adidas by combining his nickname which is Adi and his last name Dassler to form the name Adidas.
Adidas is sort of nostalgic for me, good feelings from the past conjure up when I don on my shoes and suit. Back in the day rappers such as LL Cool J and Run-D.M.C wore the brand on stage. Today I am glad to see the brands new releases. Newer shades of color such as blue, pink, yellow and even floral patterns are available. Personally I love everything they do, but I pray that they never stop producing the original track suit.
