How to Stay Motivated to Lose Weight

How to Stay Motivated to Lose Weight…

After a long day at work it can be hard to stay motivated when losing weight.  If the day was stressful pulling into the nearest fast food restaurant may seem like the the right thing to do, after all who wants to go home to start cooking when the only thing on your mind is feeding your hunger.

With a little preparation the right thing to do will be to go home if you prepare meals in advance.  Forget the line at the drive through window, you can have a great meal ready in minutes with a little preparation. Prepare vegetables and fruit on your days off by cleaning a cutting them up and placing in small bags in your fridge that way you can place them directly in a pan and start preparing your meal. You can even eat them raw to stave off the hunger.

Bake small portions of fish and chicken and keep in containers until your ready to use them that way it will be easier to heat them in the pan along with your vegetables.  This can reduce the time spent cooking during your work week and tasting while munching is always fun.

Having a handy water bottle may prevent you from grabbing a surgery drink and  water with your meal may help you feel full and increase your metabolism.

At night it’s easy to become sedentary, sitting on the couch watching TV is the worst thing to do.  If you have a treadmill jump on board and walk while you watch.  If you don’t have a treadmill try doing twenty five to fifty jumping jacks or ten to twenty squats during the commercial (feel the burn). If that doesn’t excite you then maybe doing a little house work like laundry, straightening a closet or vacuuming will do the trick to distract you from grabbing something eat that you’ll only regret in the morning.

Always surround yourself with positive people that have the same goals as you do creates a support system.  Invite friend to bring a healthy dish can be a great way to discover a new recipe and spice up meal planning.

I hope these suggestions hels to keep you on track for your fitness goals, now I’m going to tidy up my closet 🙂
