How I Love Thee Avocado,

Avocado’s are one of my favorite fruits, although I find it hard to believe that avocados are a fruit and not a vegetable let the record show that it’s a fruit. When avocados are consumed in moderation in place of saturated and trans fat it can help to reduce blood cholesterol levels and decrease heart disease.

Today I want to share my favorite guacamole recipe. I have a few friends that have never made guacamole so I thought I’d share my super easy recipe

I take two avocados slice in half then scoop out the middle and discard the seed. Mash avocados with a masher or a fork which ever you prefer then add a dash of salt and squeeze half of a lime juice. Next add half of a minced red onion, Serrano Chile, keep the seeds if you like it spicy.  Add chopped cilantro leaves and stems. If you like tomatoes in your guacamole try dicing sun dried tomatoes. As you can see I sort of toss everything together it always turns out delicious.
